So, this week's been crazy. I was in Sevierville on Wed. and Thurs. As Phil said, we had our waiting families meeting on Tuesday. It worked out well for us that Sevierville is between us and Knoxville. We drove seperately to the hotel, then rode together to the mtg. After the mtg we were able to talk to Mark (our social worker), and he set us up for our...
FIRST HOMESTUDY MEETING!!!!
Yeah!!!!!!! God is sooooo good. It's finally happening. We have our individual sessions on July 18th. As an FYI, the homestudy comprises 4 meetings: one individual session for each of us, a couple's interview, and a "safety" check at our home. So technically we have our first 2 meetings set up. I was very excited and couldn't wait to call Mama; so I called her on the way back to Sevierville. This was kindof my wakeup call of "it really is going to happen". Up to now I've tried to keep my hopes from getting up, so needless to say, I was flying high on Tuesday. (although, not so good for my meeting on Wed, after no sleep.)
Another milestone passed was we are approved for our adoption loan. I won't go into all the details on that (it's boring) ; but, when our baby is ready, so are we.
Well, gotta go. We started painting the nursery last Saturday. We're going to put the second coat on today, and patch up a few holes the previous owner had put in the walls.
