Snow -- in Octember?!?

Both Monday and Tuesday featured Phil walking to campus amid a shower of little snowflakes. While there was no accumulation to bother the greater Bristol area, Sandi was quite happy to see snow. Sandi's coworkers could not remember that last time we got snow before November. The weather remained cold today, but there are no further forecasts of the white stuff on the horizon.

As it was the fourth Tuesday of the month, we headed to Knoxville for our waiting families meeting. We had a trio of guest speakers, who shared with us how they have approached telling their children their adoption stories. The big point I took away from the discussion was to answer the child's questions without bombarding them with scads of extra information; given my general tendency to gabble for hours at a time, I will need to practice.

I administered the last of my latest batch of tests today, which means I will spend much of tomorrow up to my elbows in grading. Most of the tests were shorter than usual (due to the amount of time I had to allow for each problem), so I can hopefully plow through them without a great deal of fuss. Sandi has been a bit under the weather for the last couple of days, but she seems to have soldiered through the worst of it.
